The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar – #Review #Disney
One of my absolute favourite Disney movies was always The Lion King. I love all the songs and can sing every one of them. And of course, the banter between Timone and Pumba was hilarious. I’ve seen the movie at least 100 times and I wish I had it on DVD but I only have it on VHS. I keep missing when it comes out of the vault :(. (Note to self: Buy The Lion King on DVD). I even enjoyed The Lion King 2 and The Lion King 1 1/2, the obsession runs deep people.
My kids have only ever seen The Lion King 1 1/2. I’d love to show them The Lion King sometime but we’ll continue on with The Lion Guard and watch the adventures of Simba’s cubs and some new friends.
Available on DVD, February 23
Meet Kion, second-born cub of Simba and Nala, as he assumes the role of leader of “The Lion Guard,” an elite team of animals tasked with preserving the Pride Lands. Follow him as he assembles a group of unlikely heroes: Bunga the honey badger, Fuli the cheetah, Beshte the hippo and Ono the egret. Join them on a thrilling adventure as they use their unique abilities to defend the Pride Lands from predators and maintain balance within the Circle of Life. Bursting with humor, music, beloved characters and heart, The Lion Guard: Return Of The Roar is a must-own for the entire family!

Here’s what we thought:
K (11) – I think it was good because it was different from the original but had enough of the original characters to still make it familiar.
L (9) – I didn’t really want to watch the movie but once my sister put it on I decided to watch it anyway and it turns I liked it.
E (6) – I loved hearing the lions roar. (he’s a boy of very few words.)
N (4) – It was good because it was talking Lions and I like to ROAR!!!
All in all, I think my kids really enjoyed it and will watch it again.
