I have four LEGO-loving kids in my house, so much so that I actually have an organization problem, but that’s a story for another post. This post is about the latest installment in the Star Wars LEGO adventures, this time, it’s about the Droid Tales.
My husband and children watched the movie while I was away on a girls weekend and I am told it is hilarious. Even my husband was impressed and he kept coming up with random movie moments that he found particularly funny. I always enjoy LEGO movies and it sounds like I’ll have to watch this one sometime soon. Before I get into what everyone thought individually here’s a little synopsis of what the DVD is about.

The fun begins following the victory celebration in the Ewok village on Endor, at the end of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. R2-D2 and C-3PO have gathered to regale Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca and the other Rebels with the tales of their adventures that led to the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. An accidental kidnapping occurs while the droids are reminiscing, and suddenly you’re taken on a new journey that leads to the retelling of the entire Star Wars saga, as told by R2-D2 and C-3PO! It’s hilarious and playful, packed with all your favorite interlocking characters. LEGO® STAR WARS™: DROID TALES is intergalactic thrills for the whole family!

I had my daughter interview the boys and write down their thoughts after they watched the movie so here is what they all thought:

N(4) – It was a good movie because it was funny and I liked the part when they found R2D2.

E(6) – It was a good movie because it was funny, my favourite part was when C-3PO was telling stories.

L(9) – I loved the whole movie because it was very funny.

K(11) – I thought it was well laid out and I think it was a good thing that they didn’t make it as harsh as the ‘real’ movies, it was really funny.

So there you have it, fun for all ages, and most definitely family friendly.

Have you seen it yet? Will you be buying the DVD?
