Enough Said: A Refreshing Must See Romantic Comedy

Each week I head on over to my dear friends house for movie night. We watch a different movie each week and the style of movie varies from week to week depending on how we feel that day. This week we were in the mood for some comedy. We had intentions of getting Don Jon, but when I went to pick up the movie it wasn’t available at that Redbox location, so I chose to rent Enough Said.

Enough Said stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus and James Gandolfini and it was simply hilarious and refreshing! Not at all what I was expecting but I am so glad we got to watch it. Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ character was so funny and real, it was really nice to watch a movie with real sounding sentences and experiences. I found her character really relatable and the story line was quite true to life (at least the way I view how life *could* be in California).

There were so many laugh out loud moments throughout the entire film. I don’t think we’ve laughed like that in a while. If you’re looking for a movie to watch this Valentine’s Day with your spouse, this one would be top on my list of recommendations. And it was one of the cleaner movies as far as language is concerned.

In case you’re wondering here is the movie synopsis from the IMDB website:

A divorced and single parent, Eva (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) spends her days enjoying work as a masseuse but dreading her daughter’s impending departure for college. She meets Albert (James Gandolfini) – a sweet, funny and like-minded man also facing an empty nest. As their romance quickly blossoms, Eva befriends Marianne (Catherine Keener), her new massage client. Marianne is a beautiful poet who seems “almost perfect” except for one prominent quality: she rags on her ex-husband way too much. Suddenly, Eva finds herself doubting her own relationship with Albert as she learns the truth about Marianne’s ex.

*Disclaimer: I paid to rent this movie myself and I enjoyed it so much I wanted to let my readers know what a great film it was, in my opinion. I was not and will not be compensated in any way for this post.*
